Aragonite star clusters are very fragile.  Handle them with care.  It is recommended cleansing on a weekly basis, under water or through the smoke of sage, to keep their energy pure and clean. This ensures the negative energy the clusters are helping you release does not get stored within them.  
 
Here is an affirmation you can use when holding the cluster if you choose:  
"I am a ray of vibrant light. I let go of what no longer serves me."
